It's my first time with a cold, but it's worked wonders for me, especially when I was at my usual high. I had an attack of herpes on my body a few months ago. The dose that worked was 5mg. I was on 400mg every other day. The next day, I was taking 10mg. I didn't know if I would get a side effect from taking it, but I had a mild sore on my butt area, it wasn't hard to get and it felt like it was coming out of my mouth. I would tell my doctor, "don't take it" and it was going away. I did, but I didn't want to go back to my usual dosage.
I had been taking 2 pills of a generic drug for 3 days and had no change. I had taken the same dose as I had been on for about 6 months. My doctor gave me a pill of 10mg of valtrex every day, but that only worked when I drank the entire dose. I was taking the same dose for about 3 days, then the dose that I was on for 6 months, and I still didn't see a change. I also had some side effects that are similar to what I have had with the generic drug. I was on my second pill and still not see any change.
